TWITTER REAL-TIME RESPONSE:
Part of my job (and enjoyment) is to find trends we can engage with on social media platforms, mainly Twitter, in real-time.
Out of all our past responses my favorite trend that we engaged with was when a duct-taped banana sold for $120,000 at Art Basel. We followed the trend by duct taping a can of Dr Pepper to a wall (art), then auctioned it on Twitter, followed by sending the highest bidder the duct-taped can (art) and a certificate of authenticity.
Bottom line: In a building with 700 + people, no one had duct tape. Now I keep duct tape with me at all times.
DR PEPPER ARCADE (CONTENT DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN):
When COVID-19 locked us all down, there was still a demand, maybe even more, for content. The clients needed it for brand awareness, and people wanted more digital entertainment.
The challenge was to create content with no additional budget. Nada, sin dinero. So we used our Dr Pepper gifs in Giphy Arcade's (free) platform to create a series of mini games, and organically promoted them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
